  • About our car rental service
    If you wish to hire a car, you can reserve your vehicle through our website, by phone, or directly at our car rental location at Liverpool Airport. You will receive the vehicle key from an RRC Car Rentals employee, who will also hand over and explain the features of your vehicle to you. For extra fast booking you can call us and book over the phone. Opening hours are from 8am - 6pm.
  • Are there any hidden costs?
    We want to be fair and transparent for you. Therefore, it's very important to us that you know all possible costs. To ensure the next wheego customer doesn't have to fill up immediately, you must return your vehicle with a full tank. If the tank isn't full when you return it, we will charge you a service fee. In the event of a claim, we will charge you the damage costs up to the agreed deductible plus a processing fee of €50. The deductible is €15,000.00 per claim for micro cars and all passenger cars, and €20,000.00 for vans (all groups). You have the option of reducing your deductible to as little as €0.00 by booking a protection package. The minimum age for the Premium Protection Package is 24 years. You can book a protection package either on the wheego website or at a wheego rental station before the start of the rental. If you have held your drivers licence for less than 2 years you may be charged an additonal young drivers fee along with the daily vehicle rate.

  • Are the mileage conditions?
    No, there are no mileage conditions when you hire a car with us.
  • Will I receive a fully charged or fully fueled vehicle?
    Yes, we ask that renters always return your vehicle with a full tank or a fully charged battery. Please note that you are responsible for paying for refueling or charging yourself. In any case, you must return the vehicle with a full tank at the end of your rental.
  • At what age can I rent a car?
    We accept anyone aged 23 years and older. All you need is a full drivers licence and ID. Please note that you must have held your driver's license for at least two years; otherwise, a young driver fee of €10 per day will apply.
  • What cars can I rent?
    We have a variety of vehicle options available for you to rent from small cars to larger 7 seater SUVs. If your chosen car is not availble we'll find you something similar or better at a comparable price.
  • Can I change or cancel my booking?
    You can cancel or rebook your reservation free of charge up to 48 hours before the scheduled rental start date. After that, cancellations or rebookings are subject to a fee. Our team at the rental station will inform you in advance of any fees that may apply for rebooking or cancellations within 48 hours of the scheduled rental start date.
  • Can I book more than one car?
    If you require more than one car you can call us to make separate bookings under the names of the main driver for each vehicle.
  • Can I book a car for today?
    Yes. You simply need to choose today’s date and the time you’d like to collect the car. Please note that if you need a car at very short notice it is faster to give us a call and we can confirm your reservation over the phone. Our office is open between 8am - 6pm. Please note after 6pm your reservation will be booked for the next day.
  • Can I extend my rental period during the current rental period?
    Yes, you can usually change the booked return time even during the rental period. To do so, you must contact us or visit the rental station before the contractually agreed rental period expires. We will then add the extended time period and take payment by card.
  • I haven’t received a confirmation email. What should I do?
    If you haven’t received anything, please check that you provided the correct e-mail address. If you made a booking more than 24 hours ago and you have not received a confirmation email, the most likely possibility is that the email was blocked by the anti-spam service of your email account. But don't worry, we will call you to confirm your reservation.
  • How can I go to the office when it is outside the terminal?
    We are located a short walk from the terminal building. Alternatively there are buses which pass frequently; 86A, 82A, 80A and 3A.
  • How do I reserve a car?
    It couldn’t be easier: Choose your pick up and drop off dates, and search Select the car type you require and click ‘See more’. Enter your name, email and contact details. We'll call you to confirm the date and take payment by card over the phone. All done!
  • Is a deposit required?
    At RRC Car Rentals, you'll get a new or nearly-new car. Therefore, you'll need to reserve a deposit on your credit card when renting, or pay cashlessly via debit card/Maestro card, or other accepted payment methods. The deposit is a fixed £100. The deposit is usually refunded no later than 48 hours after you return your vehicle to the station without damage.
  • What documents do I need to take to collect the car?
    The main driver needs 4 things to be able to collect the car (all must be original documents and in their own name): A credit card with enough credit to cover the deposit for the car Passport or ID card Full driving licence Please note that photocopies documents and permits in digital format and photocopies are not accepted. This includes any supporting documents such as proof of address, proof of identity or any other document necessary to formalise the rental contract. Additional drivers will need their full driving licence.
  • How old do I need to be to rent a car from RRC Car Rentals?
    The main driver needs to be at least 23 years old at the time of car hire.
  • What are the driving licence requirements?
    You will need to take your driving licence with you to pick up your hire car. Please note that provisional licences are not accepted. If you do not have an EU licence you will also need an international driving licence to rent a car. If you have a UK driving licence and you’re hiring in the UK, you may be asked for a code from the DVLA at the car hire counter. Please note that photocopies documents and permits in digital format and photocopies are not accepted. This includes any supporting documents such as proof of address, proof of identity or any other document necessary to formalise the rental contract.
  • Can I add another driver?
    You can add additional drivers to your rental agreement before the start of your rental. They must be between 23 and 75 years old, just like you, and have held a valid driver's license for at least two years. There is an additonal drivers fee charged daily The amount depends on your choice of vehicle. Please contact us for more information. Registering additional drivers is straightforward and takes place during check-out at our main office. Unfortunately, unregistered drivers are not permitted to use the vehicle for insurance reasons.
  • What is not covered by fully comprehensive insurance?
    Comprehensive insurance does not cover damage caused by lost keys, fuel cards, or documents (e.g., the vehicle registration document). Furthermore, comprehensive insurance does not cover flat tires. However, our vehicles are equipped with spare tires or TireKits.
  • How is my vehicle insured?
    In addition to comprehensive liability insurance, your car is fully comprehensive insured. Comprehensive insurance also includes the benefits of partial comprehensive insurance. The deductible for partial comprehensive and fully comprehensive claims depends on the booked wheego vehicle model. The deductible for micro cars and all passenger cars is €15,000.00 per claim, and for vans (all groups) it is €20,000.00. You have the option of reducing your deductible to as little as €0.00 by booking a protection package. The minimum age for the Premium protection package is 24 years. You can book a protection package on the wheego website or at the wheego rental stations before the start of the rental. The prices for the individual protection packages can be found in our price list.
  • What damages could be billed at the end of my rental?
    Your rental rate includes signs of normal wear and tear, such as minor scratches on door handles or in the interior. Natural wear and tear, such as tire and brake wear, is also included. After the rental period, you could be charged for scratches that require painting, dents that need to be pushed out, or stone chips that require repair. For each claim, you'll be charged a maximum of the agreed deductible plus a claims processing fee.
  • What do I do in the event of an accident or damage?
    If you have an accident, it is imperative that you notify us immediately. We will provide you with the number of the claims hotline before handing over your vehicle. Please always inform the police in the event of an accident or damage – regardless of whether third parties were injured or not. If the police inform you that they refuse to record the accident, you must request written confirmation of this from the police and provide it to us upon return of the vehicle. This is the only way to ensure that your fully comprehensive insurance applies and that you are only liable up to the deductible.
